Utility jade, gems and pearl sales 9 Dec

— In his address at the first work coordination meeting of central committee for organizing utility jade, gems and pearl sales-2012 held at Mani Yadana Jade Hall of Myanma Gems Museum, here, this afternoon, Parton of the central committee Union Minister for Mines Dr Myint Aung called for collaboration between work committees and officials concerned for successful holding of the sales. Next, officials of the work committees reported on ongoing tasks and work progress and tasks to be done respectively, and those present held discussions on general matters. The utility jade, gems and pearl sales-2012 will be held from 9 to 13 December. It is learnt that only Grade C or D jades are being mined on a wider scale in the jade mining of local entrepreneurs, instead of Grade A or B jades. The purpose of organizing the sales is to fulfill the raw material requirements of entrepreneurs who are manufacturing finished gems and contributing to development of gems and jewellery sector through the sales of utility jade in local currency.
